How we handle your data, keep it safe, and respect your privacy while you use Shadowcore.
This Privacy Policy explains how Shadowcore collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Shadowcore Discord bot, its dashboard (shadowcore.org), and its associated AI features.
01. Information We Collect
We only collect data necessary for the Service to function. We do NOT store message content unrelated to commands, except as specified under AI features.
Via Discord
- • User IDs — to identify users for leveling, economy, and user-specific settings.
- • Guild IDs — to identify servers and store server-specific settings.
- • Channel & Role IDs — for features like logging, welcome messages, and auto-role.
- • Command Usage — logged to improve the Service.
Voluntarily Provided
- • Server Configurations — settings configured by admins.
- • User Content — profiles, inventory, etc.
From Dashboard
- • Cookies & Session Data — to keep you authenticated via Discord OAuth2.
Via AI Services
- • Message Context & Attachments — Transmitted temporarily when interacting with Shadowcore's AI features to generate responses.
- • User-Authorized Memories — Short facts voluntarily provided by the user (or requested to be remembered) to personalize future AI conversations.
02. How We Use Your Information
- PROVIDE: Maintain and improve core functionality.
- PERSONALIZE: Enhance your experience (e.g., displaying your balance or maintaining AI context).
- AI PROCESSING: Process chats through third-party APIs (Google Gemini API) to provide smart interactions.
- SUPPORT: Provide customer support.
- MONITOR: Analyze usage for performance, rate-limiting, and security.
03. Data Third-Party Sharing UPDATED
We do not sell your personal information. However, to power our AI features, text prompts and attachments are processed securely via the Google Gemini API. This data is subject to Google's own privacy policies and terms of service regarding API usage.
04. Data Security
All data is stored on secure servers. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no internet-based service can be 100% secure.
05. Data Retention
- Server settings: Retained until the bot is removed from the guild.
- Standard user data: Retained until requested for deletion.
- AI Memories: Retained until manually deleted by the user via the dashboard (shadowcore.org/ai) or chat commands.
06. Your Rights & Controls UPDATED
You have full control over your data:
- AI Memory Management: You can view, edit, or permanently erase any stored facts/memories via the AI Manager on our dashboard or via native bot commands (e.g., /ai forget).
- AI Opt-Out: Users can globally opt-out of AI interactions and tracking (feature pending deployment).
- General Erasure: To delete personal database records, contact us directly. To delete server data, remove the bot from the server.
07. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us immediately.
